THIS CONCEPTUAL PROJECT IS INSPIRED BY:  The dawn of professional indoor soccer circa 1971 was created when the North American Soccer League organized of a series of exhibition tournaments engaging in a then new style of indoor Soccer played on a smaller, interior field covered by artificial turf and surrounded by dasher boards and plexiglass to keep the ball in play. A traditional indoor soccer field is 200 x 85, the same size as an NHL hockey rink.
In 1977 we saw the first Major Indoor Soccer League. The MISL kicked off its inaugural season with six franchises. The MISL enjoyed success in its infant stages, with expansion, increased attendance, and a national TV deal with the USA Network. Unfortunately the MISL ceased operations following the 1991-92 season.

MISSILE Magazine was the official game program of the original Major Indoor Soccer League (1978-1992) from 1978 until 1985
